Overview: Shortly before the December uprising of 1825, officer Pavel Bestuzhev was exiled to a distant northern garrison for insolence. Soon, he gets a chance to help a wounded Decembrist who intends to cross the border. Bestuzhev saves the fugitive and his beloved at the cost of his own life…
